Students from introductory to advanced levels will learn proper techniques relating to the art of layam and mridangam. They will also learn correct ways of holding the instrument, appropriate limb/finger movements, wrist action, developing muscle-memory, balance and coordination. Students will receive practical and theoretical instruction in all aspects of layam.
